Live Scanning
Live scanning is available to enterprise users and allows you to test HTTP and HTTPS responses of arbitrary URLs (domain/IP, port, and path), inspect DNS responses, and compare extracted features against Validin's database of indexed response attributes.
Live scan configuration.
Quick Check
In the simplest configuration, enter an IP or domain name into the search field and press Enter or click the "Search" button.
By default:
- A scan is initiated on port 80
- A source country is randomly chosen
- The User Agent remains the default
- The "Referer" (sic) header is not set in the request
Country Selection
If desired, you may select one of the available countries as the "origin" country. This can be useful to check for geo-fencing or other country-specific behavior by the endpoint.
User Agent Header
You may select from one of the pre-configured user agent headers or provide an override. Pre-defined user agent include a mix of well-known browsers, operating systems, bots, and command-line tools.

Result Privacy
Live scan results are saved to individual user accounts and are not added to Validin's generally-available database.
About the Scanners
The live scans are initiated from VMs within supported regions that are rotated throughout the day.
